Hello Keepers,
So far, we’ve mostly focused on the work awaiting you inside the Institute and how we’re designing the repair systems and mechanics behind it. This time, we wanted to show more of the overarching story and how your assignment as Keeper begins.
You are not the Institute’s Primary Keeper. You are the spare — a precaution in case anything goes wrong. Until your services are needed, you are placed in hibernation.
And then you wake up.
No one is waiting for you. The Institute around you is ruined and abandoned, with no explanation for what happened while you slept.
The trailer also offers a first look at new locations within the Institute and introduces a new character: the Scholar. She is part of Rubus — a rescue team dispatched by the Management Company to investigate the disaster and compile a report on what happened.
We don’t want to give away too much about what you’ve just seen. Exploring the Institute and piecing together what happened from the places you visit and the traces people left behind is a big part of THE LIFT and we’d rather let you discover it for yourselves!
And yes, we know the next question is probably: when do we get to play? We don’t have a new playtest to announce just yet. The team is currently deep in development, and we can’t wait to let you back into the Institute when the time is right. If you’d like to be considered for a future playtest, fill out this Google Form:

Already signed up? You’re all set — we still have you on our playtester list, so there’s no need to fill it out again.
Until then, please support us by wishlisting THE LIFT and follow us here on Steam so you don’t miss any future updates. Thank you for sticking with us!
