Hey everyone! Here again with a small but significant update!
We've been working mostly on various fixes, but also on rebalancing the entire game. We're very curious to hear what you think of the new pacing, so please, let us know on discord or via the in-game feedback button! We highly recommend you start over to experience it properly (as some of you may have already bought everything). Savegames are located in AppData/Local/Sub/Saved/SaveGames - we recommend deleting *at least* the "Dock_" files as well as "PlayerWalletSave", but we won't force you to :)
This will be the last content update for a while as we focus on getting all our ducks in a row and work up to a 1.0 release. We'll still put out bug fixes for game-breaking issues, but this will be the last content patch for now. Because of this, it's extra important that you let us know if there's something you would like to see different in the 1.0 release :D
Stay tuned for more info about what to expect from 1.0!
- Added new themed treasures for each biome
- Rebalanced the cost and sell prices of everything
- Rebalanced submarine stats and made sure they're all hooked up
- Added "periscope range", "hydrodynamics", and "scan cooldown reduction" stats for upgrading, and removed stats that no longer make sense
- Replaced foliage system with a new one which should be more dense for better performance (and, as a result, lower loading times!)
- Hooked up audio which had gone missing
- Fixed the wallet UI not updating when selling and buying stuff (we thought we did this last update, but we were wrong :( )
- You can no longer open door while in the process of docking. A few people ended up falling out of the submarine this way....
- Interactions are now interrupted when walking out of range
- Removed unused tools from the toolwheel
- Fixed the wardrobe character model to not clip through clothing
- Fixed an issue where old submarines were saved with their leaks, causing them to flood when you loaded into a level
- The periscope now sees out-of-range points of interests as question marks, making it a bit easier to navigate
- Motion blur is now off by default
- Moved extract to be on the same depth level as spawn (so you can always get back out if you venture too deep)
- Fixed the view rotation clamp of harpoons on the big submarine
- Fixed an issue where the breath meter would sometimes go invisible
- All cosmetics now have a better angle on the thumbnail, making it easier to see what it is
- Fixed an issue where a level 3 engine would disappear if you threw fuel at it
- Eels now deal damage again
