Hey Loners!

New update is here with another round of visual polish, audio improvements, and bug fixes.

First and most important news:

As we get closer to the launch of Atomic Picnic, we’re slowing down the pace of regular updates.

Not because there’s less happening.

Because we’re preparing something much bigger.

From now on, we want every update to matter; with more meaningful reveals, sharper improvements, and things that will make the wait worth it for every Loner out there.

Stay close. Big news is coming very soon.

Second news of the week:

Atomic will be attending the Bullet Fest! Share the love for roguelikes and bullet fest, and send AP to your friends!

And now... What’s new in AP

Visual Improvements

  • Improved shadows for enemies, characters, and buildings.

  • Made small adjustments to the Heavy Weight and Bass Blaster icons.

  • Improved the visuals of the hands in the Diamantina map.

Quality of Life Improvements

  • Added SFX for the objectives HUD.

Changes

  • Added new audio feedback to objective HUD interactions.

Fixes

  • Improved audio stuttering issues.

  • Fixed an issue where Little Mac could get lost when players moved too far away.

  • Fixed Energy Bombs showing up outside the playable arena in City of Sands.

Known Issues

We’re currently aware of the following issues and are working on them:

  • It’s possible to get stuck after closing the Equipment menu.

  • Sometimes, the enemy's death VFX plays in slow motion.

  • The Energy Bomb SFX can continue playing after it's collected.

  • Harp’s healing VFX is being directed to the floor instead of Oswald.

Thanks for playing and helping us improve Atomic Picnic!

The Zone's getting a few new voices, Bow and Arrow finally looks as good as it feels, and Twilight Dam got the balance pass it needed. New Enemy SFX Six enemies just got their voice: Teleporter, Mortar, Volcano, Flying Charger, Diver, and Slime. You'll hear them coming now, and depending on how your last Picnic went, that might not be a good thing. This patch is us making sure they look and move the way they're supposed to. Small one, mostly polish, all of it in service of the new list. VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS · The Rover now has animations at camp. · VFX improvements for the Volcano, Digger, and Bomb Dropper. If something is about to hurt you, it should look the part. QUALI…Major update25 Jun 2026Major Update #4 - Uninvited Guests v0.9.0Hey Loners! We know what you've been telling us. Two years of "more enemies would be nice." We heard it the first time. We just wanted to make sure they were worth meeting before we let them in. So: Twilight Dam, City of Sands, and Diamantina got new neighbors. Twelve of them. None of them RSVP'd. TWILIGHT DAM Four new arrivals. Nobody invited them, nobody's getting them to leave. Flying Charge…
