Upcoming Changes to Raid Schedule on SEP 15

Greetings Adventurers,

Today, we would like to talk about changes that will be made to the current Raid schedule.

We would first like to thank everyone for sharing such candid and detailed feedback with us following our latest DFO ExStream.

This stream in particular felt like it led to deeper discussions than usual, making it a meaningful experience for us as well.

We hope to continue creating opportunities like this where we can have more in-depth conversations with our players.

With that said, we would like to share our decision regarding one of the biggest topics discussed during the broadcast: the change to the Nabel Raid opening schedule.

First, we would like to explain why we had maintained the existing Raid entry schedule until now.

When the World Boss update was introduced last March, we were faced with a decision.

Because the rules governing Raids opening and closing times were not consistent across content, we identified potential management issues that could impact the stability of the live service.

As a result, we established a new set of Raid entry rules and standardized them in order to minimize potential live-service risks.

At the time, we believed that if players were able to adjust to the revised schedule, it could eventually become a familiar and established pattern of play.

However, through our latest broadcast, we came to understand that the play pattern known as the “DFO Block” had already become deeply established among our players. This was an important factor that we had previously overlooked.

  • WED - SUN: All other raids = Nabel and older (as of currently released Raids!)

Therefore, to help you make better use of your DFO Block for Raid content, we will be changing the opening schedule for Nabel Raid and Raids released prior to Nabel so that they will be available one day earlier, from Wednesday through Sunday.

As an extension of the decision we made last March, we had also been considering opening all Raids starting on Wednesday as opposed to only Nabel and older. This would have allowed us to maintain operational stability while giving players more options for scheduling gameplay within the DFO Block.

However, we also understand that, given the characteristics of the current service, providing too many options can spread the Raid population too thin and make party recruitment more difficult. We have therefore decided to address the issue of operational stability through other means.

As a result, major Raids will retain their current tighter schedules in order to maintain player concentration, while Nabel Raid and older content that has become relatively less important will open earlier.

This approach is intended to minimize interference with recruitment for the highest-priority Raids while placing greater emphasis on player convenience.

We also plan to establish this as a standard rule going forward. When new Raids are added in the future, Raids below the two highest-tier Raids will have their opening day moved to Wednesday, allowing us to continue supporting the same gameplay schedule.

Lastly, to celebrate the expansion of the DFO Block, we have prepared a "DFO Block Support Buff" Event to support your Raiding experience.

The event will run for three weeks, during which the following stat buffs will be applied when participating in Raids.

The Raid schedule changes and the event go live with the SEP 15 update.

Above all, what matters most to us is your gameplay experience.

As such, we once again thank our Adventurer for your continuous and detailed feedback regarding DFO.

We will continue listening closely and strive to maintain open and meaningful communication with all our Adventurers.

We hope you have fun smashing Nabel Raid on Wednesday next week!

Thank you.
