Update 0.6.1 - Editor and Game Performance Upgrades

Turbo Era Boss Early Access 0.6.1 is now ready for testing on Steam. Since 0.6.0, this update has focused on making the Paddock Editor more useful, large custom profiles much faster and the Steam desktop experience more dependable.

PADDOCK PROFILES ARE NOW BUILT FOR LONG-TERM USE

Paddock Editor profiles now use persistent storage designed for larger customisation data. Profiles can be imported and exported more reliably, making it easier to preserve a customised season, move it between installations and keep your preferred team, driver, engine, tyre and circuit names together.

Supplier-name handling has also been improved so customised engine and tyre identities are resolved consistently throughout the game.

DRIVER NAMES AND HELMETS NOW LIVE TOGETHER

Driver naming and helmet customisation now share the same profile workflow. This makes it easier to build a complete period-inspired grid without jumping between separate tools, while keeping each driver's individual helmet identity attached to the selected profile.

OPEN THE PADDOCK EDITOR DIRECTLY FROM THE TITLE SCREEN

Players who own and have installed the Paddock Editor DLC can now open it directly from the title menu. The Settings entry remains available, while Steam entitlement checks continue to keep DLC access correctly gated.

LARGE CUSTOM PROFILES ARE MUCH FASTER

Large helmet-heavy profiles could previously cause noticeable pauses when opening the editor or performing ordinary HQ actions. Profile validation, cloning and runtime lookups have been reworked so unchanged data is reused instead of repeatedly processing several megabytes of profile information.

In our large-profile testing, Factory, Engine and Tyre actions that could previously take several seconds now respond almost immediately. The same work also makes profile switching and helmet editing substantially smoother.

MORE STEAM DESKTOP POLISH

  • Improved desktop layout behaviour across common resolutions and scaling levels
  • Cleaner loading boundaries for HQ, Qualifying, Race and tutorial content
  • Improved Qualifying and Race runtime responsiveness
  • Further circuit-map and session-rendering improvements
  • Improved theme, contrast and interface consistency
  • More reliable title-menu, Settings and Paddock Editor transitions

MORE FIXES SINCE 0.6.0

  • Further polish for player Event Cards and race-completion flow
  • Fixed a race-complete hidden rendering issue
  • Improved Paddock profile import, export and persistence behaviour
  • Improved localisation runtime checks across all currently supported game languages
  • Additional reliability work for desktop sessions, Qualifying and Race

0.6.1 is primarily a quality and usability update: fewer stalls, faster management actions and a stronger workflow for players using the Paddock Editor. Please keep sending us your feedback as we continue improving Turbo Era Boss throughout Early Access.
