Hey everyone! A few players have reported that their controller (PS4, PS5, and possibly others) doesn't respond at all when starting a match — no input at all, right from the start.
If this is happening to you, it's very likely caused by Steam Input being enabled for Super Arcade Soccer 2026. Steam Input is a great feature for many games, but it can conflict with games (like ours) that already have their own built-in controller support, and in some setups it ends up blocking all input instead of passing it through.
Open your Steam Library.
Right-click Super Arcade Soccer 2026 → Properties.
Go to the Controller tab.
Under General Controller Settings, set the override for this game to Disable Steam Input.
Restart the game.
Your controller should now be picked up normally. No other settings need to change, and this only affects Super Arcade Soccer 2026, not the rest of your library.
If you've disabled Steam Input for the game and your controller still isn't responding, let us know here or on Discord with:
Controller model (PS4 / PS5 / Xbox / other)
Connection type (USB / Bluetooth)
Whether it works fine in other games
Thanks for your patience, and thanks to everyone who reported this. It helped us track down what was going on!
