vrOS v1.9.0 Patch Notes

New Features

  • Overlays can now be linked to a display preset. When you spawn or save a preset, the overlay stays tied to it — the "Preset+" button becomes a modify button that reopens the setup window so you can update that preset in place (its layout is re-captured live and the source is pre-filled), and saving overwrites the original preset. Overlays linked to a preset are marked with a green ring in the active overlays list.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed controller input — playspace move, rotate, and drag — sometimes silently stopping until a full vrOS restart. This could happen right after launching or restarting SteamVR, or after a controller went to sleep and woke. vrOS now detects when SteamVR drops its input bindings and re-binds them automatically, so controller input recovers on its own.

Improvements

  • Widened the overlay controls panel in the full layout, giving the action buttons more room.
