In our previous DEVLOGs, we’ve already given you a first look at the development of Autobahn Polizei Simulator 4. Today, we’re taking a closer look at several features that play an important role in your daily work as a highway police officer: your patrol car, emergency lighting, and the different uniforms available for your character.
Over the past few days, we’ve received a lot of questions and feedback regarding the behavior of the patrol cars. In particular, many of you wanted to know what happens when getting in and out of the vehicle, and whether the emergency lights and engine remain active.
In Autobahn Polizei Simulator 4, you have more control over your patrol car than ever before.
Are you on the highway and need your blue lights to warn approaching traffic of a hazard? Or have you safely parked your vehicle and no longer need the emergency lighting?
You decide how you want to use your patrol car.
Getting in and out of the vehicle remains simple and intuitive: just press the corresponding key. However, we’ve added a new option that allows you to control the emergency lighting when getting out of the vehicle.
A short press of the exit key lets you leave the vehicle as usual, the blue lights remain active. If you want to switch off the blue lights as you exit, simply hold the exit key for a little longer. A small change in the controls that can make a big difference during your daily duties.
Keep in mind that Autobahn Polizei Simulator 4 features different times of day. Lighting conditions naturally affect how visible your emergency lights are to other road users.
Today, we’re also taking a closer look at your character.
Police work involves many different situations, and different assignments can call for different types of clothing. In Autobahn Polizei Simulator 4, you’ll therefore have several outfits to choose from.
Today, we’re showing you the first three variants:
Depending on the situation, your choice of clothing can make a difference. A highly visible uniform is ideal for working safely on the highway, while a more discreet appearance can be useful during investigations or situations where you need to remain inconspicuous.
Another highlight of this DEVLOG: For the first time, we’re showing you the female player character in Autobahn Polizei Simulator 4.
The different clothing variants will also be available for the female character.
As in previous installments, Autobahn Polizei Simulator 4 gives you the option to play as a female character.
Many of the features we’re showing in this DEVLOG are shaped by our conversations with the community. Your feedback helps us improve Autobahn Polizei Simulator 4 and develop new ideas for the game.
