THE BIG ONE: RECRUITING WAS BROKEN. IT'S FIXED NOW.
A bad formula meant every college roster showed 0 open scholarships from Week 1 onward — recruiting was silently unusable for an entire season, for you and every AI team. That's fixed, and there's
now a safety net too: if a roster ever comes up short at a position (whether from a season of neglected recruiting, free agency, or the draft), walk-ons and street free agents will fill the gap so
you're never staring at an unplayable, QB-less team.
NEW: PRO CONTRACTS HAVE TEETH
- Contracts now actually expire! (Yes, they didn't before — years-remaining was frozen forever. Sorry.)
- Restricted and unrestricted free agency: players with fewer than 4 accrued seasons get auto-tendered by their original team; 4+ hits the open market.
- Franchise tag: lock down one impending free agent per season at a position-tier salary instead of losing them.
- Sign contract extensions on your own players any time during the season — don't wait for the open market to poach someone you wanted to keep.
DASHBOARD
- Team Statistics now shows Points For/Against as per-game averages, plus new Offense/Defense yards-per-game.
- Removed Point Differential and Roster Size from the card — cleaner, more useful at a glance.
ONBOARDING & UI FIXES
- New: "Reset Tutorial" button in Settings if you want to see it again.
- Tutorial now correctly shows Pro-specific or College-specific slides instead of mixing the two.
- Fixed the Depth Chart position list being unscrollable past the first ~13 rows.
- Roster Board sorting/cycling now follows real football position order instead of alphabetical.
- Fixed the Game Day playcall panel occasionally reopening mid-animation and letting a second play queue before the first finished.
- Draft and Combine are now hidden from navigation outside the offseason — they're not year-round events.
- Fixed a Week 1 inbox message wrongly claiming a bye week when you had a scheduled opponent.
- Pro Contracts tab now shows real cap/contract data instead of a placeholder.
- College Scholarships tab is a real, populated table now instead of an empty stub.
- Veteran salaries at career start now scale with player quality instead of flat per-position rates.
- Removed a fake "OVR" number that duplicated the scout star rating — one rating system, not two.
AUDIO
- Added sound effects: snap, pass, catch, tackle, whistle, crowd.
PLATFORM SUPPORT
- Native builds for Windows, macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), and Linux.
