Hello all!

Welcome to the first major update of ‘Futa Succubus Slay!’, boy this one was a pain in the ass to get out, and for reasons completely unrelated to the actual game itself! But more on that later*.

So, reviews are in, no point pretending they aren’t “Mixed” as you all can see that for yourselves. Early complaints that it was too easy have already been addressed with the addition of difficulty modes, persistent complaints that it’s too simple will require longer to address (and need to be balanced against others’ fondness for the current gameplay). What I’ve put the most effort into are issues with finding the erotic content a bit lacking as well as the absence of any gallery functions.

So, first, the gallery. That was dumb, lol. Of course there should be a gallery – you worked hard for those pictures, you shouldn’t have to do another run if you want to see them again! Especially as the transformative nature of the game means that there’s a pretty good likelihood that those exact images will no longer be available without resetting your progress. As such, the game now has a gallery. Access it from the Codex button in the main menu. Also, a couple of people have mentioned that they would like a bestiary i.e. a display of all the enemy sprites. Again, you worked hard, you unlocked them, you should be able to see them! It’s a great idea, so separate to the gallery there is now also a bestiary.

Beyond that, some people have expressed a desire for animations. Gentlemen of Culture, all. In the newest upload I have made animated versions of all the victory cgs. Enjoy! I certainly do, all this feedback is definitely making the game better!

Furthermore, a lot of people think that the victory scenes themselves should go beyond a single image (or animation now) and be fleshed out into full erotica… now there I’m going to have to push back. That is far to great an interruption to game flow. You’ll get sick of it. Especially considering multi enemy scenes (some of which have the same “character”). Maybe at some point I’ll put in one or two dialogue boxes of description to accompany the victory festivities, but it’s the wrong point for a slow down of that magnitude… which is not to say there’s no right point!

The boss battles! These are all now accompanied by a fully fleshed erotic scene, with multiple animations, per succubus dialogue and text that respects their stage of transformation. Combined they add an actual story to the succubi’s journey up the “tower” and, again, I think add to the game immensely.

So, thank you again for your feedback! Thank you for helping me to improve my game!

I hope you enjoy all the new content!

* Alright, so! I was working on adding the victory animations to the game as a playable loop when suddenly, not just my game, but my entire system juddered to a near stop! Reset, recover, resume working on game… and it happens again! A bug! And not just a game killer but a system killer – unshippable! I rebuild the animation player, but it persists. I rollback to an earlier version and it persists! A more canny dev might have a “hmm…” moment, but instead I push through 48 hours of trying to fix a game that keeps near-crashing my whole system repeatably and with seeming inevitability before finally figuring out… game’s fine, computer’s fucked.

Well, not fucked-fucked, just needed a cold reboot and an updated GPU driver. The whole thing was completely unrelated to the game, which I would have realised if I had spent 5 minutes since release doing literally anything other than working on it.

Never mind.

lol.

This is a bigger update gameplay wise, but you can't call every update "Major" so regular it is.
