I originally created EVAC as a prototype helicopter game where the entire premise was built on saving your cute little army dudes from perilous situations. Now it has blossomed into a beautiful game with gorgeous music, and multiple islands spanning across the New Hawaiian Archipelago. There are multiple game modes, tons of weapons to choose from, and army dudes that need your help...
We have spent the last two weeks working day and night on EVAC. Every ounce of spare time we have had has gone into EVAC: fixing bugs, adding features, tweaking the game for new players, optimizing; the list goes on and on. We have been working extremely hard to bring you guys the greatest helicopter game of all time.
This game truly is meant to be the best helicopter game ever. I have played many helicopter games, and I wouldn't be making this game if I didn't feel like it needed to exist. EVAC is meant to bridge the gap between simulator gameplay, and arcade action. It is built from the ground up to be as fun as possible, from the flight, to the combat, to the troops jumbling around in the back seat of your Scout.
While the game is fun first and foremost- it also has an extremely physical flight model that will leave simulator fans satisfied. While the flight is a true simulation of how a helicopter should fly, it still feels heavy and responsive, while maintaining a semi-arcade feel. it takes true skill to master the flight of this helicopter.
Before you begin your adventure in EVAC, you will create your very own Army Dude.
You will create an Army Dude that could either be a 1:1 match of your real life appearance, a war-torn veteran pilot, or even an alien...
Upon your creation as an Army Dude, you will be lifted up the elevator of an Aircraft Carrier into a torrential nuclear thunderstorm, expected to learn how to fly your UH-77 Scout Helicopter under harrowing conditions.
After learning how to fly, you wait until morning to learn how to pickup, transport, and command your troops. Then, you are granted FULL ACCESS to FLY FREE across the Emerald Vast- an Open World with Army Dudes to save, and Outposts to destroy.
If you find that little Army Dude Melon of yours is in need of some creative fulfillment, you can head on over to the Level Editor where you can build custom maps, complete with Turrets, Collectibles, and a bunch of objects (with more to come). For those of you who have already played and enjoyed EVAC- Thank you so much for your overwhelming energy this past week. It has been a wild ride, and we have truly been working ourselves thin. We are going to take a little break, then get right back to work on getting the full game ready for you.
