F2 renames a file, both on the desktop and in File Explorer. With several selected it renames the first one.
The rename box grows with what you type instead of the six-character slot it used to be. Clicking away accepts the name, Escape throws it away, and leaving it blank cancels rather than naming the file nothing.
The icon you are working with spells its name out in full instead of cutting it off, and hovering any file shows the whole name.
Fixes
Losing your online session no longer needs a restart. An expired sign-in was turning up as an empty menu, git clone refusing every repository, and PLAY dead-ending on "You're not signed in", with nothing you could do about it. The game now re-signs itself and carries on, and a Steam handshake that is simply slow at startup no longer costs you every online feature for the rest of the run.
Defacing a company site could run code on the machine of everyone who visited it afterwards. Defacement text, layout and styling still work exactly as before, the rest does not.
A repository's readme was rendered as markup, so anything another player pushed to GitHub ran when you opened the repo page. It is plain text now.
The game can no longer be talked into opening a real website behind your back, or into asking for your camera, microphone or screen at all. A link to one of our own sites still opens straight away, anything else shows you the address and waits for your say-so.
git clone and git pull rebuilt repo files under ids shared by everyone who clones that repo, so deleting the repo folder could take a copy you had moved to /lib or uploaded to your VPS instead.
Dragging loot, an exploit or a VPN certificate onto a rented box was a move, not a copy, and it carried the item's only real file off your disk. The loot sat there looking fine while appraise, launder, sell and openvpn all refused it. It copies now, the same way cp does.
A file pulled off a mounted host stayed marked as living on that host, so the game minted a second .exp for the same exploit and the download disappeared on your next join.
Lifting an artifact off a breached desktop left a copy on the victim's machine that no longer exists, and taking it again handed you a second file for the one item you already hold.
Items the server says you own but that have no file on disk are rebuilt on every join now, including an exploit whose .exp you deleted, not just the market case.
Signing up for a GoMail account in multiplayer was never written to accounts.log, which is the only place a password can be looked up again. Long lines in the log viewer were also cut off behind an ellipsis with no way to see the rest.
The Journalist's Sister, Part 11: the step asking you to open port 22 came before the firewall rule that makes Interpol's router reachable, so players ended up on the only router that did answer, their own. They forwarded the port, the panel confirmed the save, and Carl's port stayed shut with nothing to explain why. The order is fixed, and the step only ticks when 22 is really opened towards Carl.
Metasploit exploits and sqlmap ignored port forwarding rules that cover a range or "any" instead of naming one machine, so a target that was plainly open refused the exploit.
