Hello!
Artists started working on their scenes for Mongirl Conquest v0.9.9. We are planning 2 new scenes for this update, but this time it will be special. v0.9.9 will start the last stretch for the main quest – final story scenes for special girls you encountered during your adventure. This update will cover Cleo and Adia. These scenes will include the narrative part aside from the standard animation goodness. As for the striptease mini-game, you can check the last update here. More details on the progress are below.
The main quest is coming to an end, and we are starting on the ending scenes for the girls. Since it will be impossible to do all the possible girls and their endings in a single update, we are aiming to split them between v0.9.9 and v1.0. I’ll make an in-game notification before the point of no return so you can make a save point if your favorite’s ending and final scene is not ready just yet. We are planning to add 5 special endings scenes in total. Can you guess all the girls?
Our progress on the striptease mini-game is going fine. We are moving towards the final steps, like balancing and fleshing out all the art. All the main functions are already in, and based on the time, I want to add some extras like the girl’s comments during the show. Anyway, stay tuned – I’ll make a new preview post once we are done with the girl’s pack sprite. Aside from this, the artist wants to add some interface elements, but these are extras, and even if time doesn’t allow it for the initial release, we can either skip or add them later. As a cautious estimate, we are aiming to release the striptease mini-game in the upcoming v0.9.9 update.
It’s not all sunshine and kittens though. During the last testing round, I used an existing game save and found out that the new logic doesn’t work with existing data. Whoops... This is a big problem, but I have ideas on how to sidestep this problem and keep the progress for all existing saves before the mini-game release. Otherwise, it will be a huge problem for the players. This will be my focus for the upcoming week, and most likely, I’ll get back to you with good news.
