One of the design choices we discussed most during the development of Fantasy Network was pacing.
We didn't want the adventure to consist only of exploration and combat. That's why we introduced Talent Competitions, special minigames that offer a playful change of pace.
These moments give players a chance to catch their breath after the action while remaining part of the world and its story. We wanted the experience to move between excitement, discovery, and lighter moments, making each stage of the journey feel a little different.
But what do you think?
Do you enjoy games that mix different styles of gameplay, or do you prefer an experience focused on one core mechanic from beginning to end?
