TL;DR:
I have to re-compile and deploy the Mac version of Kana Ka-Boom as a Universal App, which will double its file size. This will happen later this week.
So Here's The Deal:
In the background, Steam doesn't allow game developers a method to deploy a build for Intel Macs versus a build for Silicon Macs.
Current versions of Silicon Macs (M1, M2, etc...) use an emulator called "Rosetta" to run Intel apps on Silicon, so I've been able to get away with compiling the Mac version of Kana Ka-Boom for Intel chipsets and letting your Mac OS handle the rest.
Rosetta goes away in the next version of Mac OS (OS 28), so my only way to keep the game available and running for those of you with older Intel Macs and those of you with newer Silicon Macs is to re-compile Kana Ka-Boom as a "Universal App". This is generically an App package that contains 2 entire versions of the application.
Because of this, the file size for the Mac version of Kana Ka-Boom is going to double to 640MB. This update will go out some time later this week.
I'm guessing there's not many of you that are still running Intel, but I don't want to leave anyone out in the cold. Apologies for the inconvenience everyone!
