Deepforge Brawl leaves Early Access today. Version 1.0.0 is live.
If you last looked in July, here's what the game gained on the way to 1.0:
- Content Update 1: three affliction weapons (Emberflask, Frost Mortar, Arc Lance) that give Burn, Chill and Shock their own builds, and two new dwarves. The Runesmith brands the horde and Shatters it; the Warden hauls it into one ring with Warden's Chain.
- The Adjudicator: a halberd that sweeps up close and throws at range, and the Oath of the Verdict to claim it early.
- The Anvil: walk into the Forge holding the right evolved weapon and the right catalyst item and it reforges them into one of 7 Masterworks. The Smith's Ledger keeps what you've found.
- Forge Blessings: 8 opt-in run boons you stake Runestones on before a run.
- The Guardian set and the Aegis Flail.
- Boss Fury: every boss escalates through the fight, and each one does it its own way. The Tyrant leaps onto kiters, the Warchief's horn rises around you, the Golem keeps firing through its rage, the Maw's pools grow.
- Steam Deck: a default controller layout for every controller type, and the game is Deck-playable end to end.
Thank you to everyone who played and reviewed during Early Access. If you played and haven't left a review yet, that is the single most useful thing you can do for a small game.
The Maw is waiting.
