It’s been 8 weeks since we served up the Burger Bois demo, and we’re overjoyed with all the lovely reviews and helpful feedback you’ve left us! 🥹This is our first game as a team, and it means the world to us that you’ve enjoyed sinking your teeth into it.
In that time:
You’ve collectively served over 19,000 burgers(!!)
233 people have impressed Finn Dividend
358 people earned 5 stars four times in one day
321 players unlocked Make-Out Point
173 players have discovered The Big Dill #FoodPic
42 people discovered the None Burger With Left Beef #FoodPic
…but only 1 player so far has discovered the elusive Easy, Greasy, Beautiful Burger Girl #FoodPic. 👀
What, you thought you’d get to admire the Easy Greasy for free?? You gotta EARN it by discovering it in game. 😇
We’ve been patching out bugs & starting on player feedback - here are some of the biggest changes we’ve made with your help:
Burger evaluation for properties is fairer now (no more losing marks for overdelivering on ‘at least’ levels of grease or juice!)
The mouseover stats now disappear when they’re no longer welcome.
Settings improvements (typewriter settings stick properly, and scroll behaviours are more trackpad friendly).
Hashtag input on Social Posts should be more user-friendly.
This one has been a gnarly one to resolve! If you have further struggles with it, we’d love to hear it via Discord or the Bug Report form linked in-game.
You can no longer farm Infinite BunsTM when clearing a burger design.
Daily delivery orders, location events, and social post events are now saved too.
Sister Buttermilk & CEO Doolittle will no longer hold the game hostage if you disappoint them in the wrong way.
CEO Doolittle may be out to take Burger Bois (the truck) down, but he’s not meant to mess with Burger Bois (the game).
Programmer Jess is working on a demo update to add Controller Support & Steam Deck compatibility, whilst writer Alex, artist Jackal, and our composer are working on new content for the full game (including the much requested: more music tracks!). Jess is also heading over to Germany for Gamescom - if you’re in the Business Area, pop by the NZTE Pavilion (Hall 3.2, Stand F010g) to say hi!
