It’s lights out. Throttle Trace is now available in Early Access!
It's been quite a journey getting here. What started as an experiment in distilling racing down to its most important decisions has grown into more than we could have imagined. An unlimited career mode, dynamic wheel-to-wheel battles, changing track conditions, tire strategies, damage, time attack, multiplayer. Throttle Trace has evolved into a fully featured racing game.
Along the way, we've rebuilt how cars fight for position, expanded the physics and AI, added Replay and Spectate modes, added dynamic weather, rebuilt the damage model, completely overhauled the presentation, and, most recently, put our own circuit-building tools into your hands with the Track Editor and one-click procedural generation.
We can’t wait for you to race it.
Jump into the Unlimited Career Mode, creating your own calendar for each season with our 15 handmade tracks or using those you’ve built in the Track Editor or picked up in Steam Workshop. Battle other players in Multiplayer, and chase the perfect lap in Time Attack.
Whether you're fighting for position, watching the weather roll in, managing your tires, or desperately trying to hang onto a lead for one more lap, the idea at the heart of Throttle Trace remains the same:
Every Corner Is a Decision.
Getting ready for an Early Access launch feels a lot like preparing for the start of a racing season. We’ve been in the factory for months, gone through pre-season testing, and are ready for the first race of many!
We've published our roadmap on the Steam page, laying out some of what we want to tackle on the road to 1.0. That includes expanding the Career and Track Editor, competitive Time Attack features and weekly challenges, more customization, additional racing series beyond open-wheel cars, localization, and plenty of improvements driven by what we learn from you.
Most importantly, we're looking forward to having a much larger group of players racing, experimenting, breaking things, building tracks, and telling us what works and what doesn't.
A quick note for demo players, the demo is temporarily unavailable as we make the transition into Early Access, but it will be back! We'll share more when it's ready to return.
Thank you to everyone who played the demo, followed the devlogs, wishlisted the game, sent feedback, or simply stuck around to see what this little racing experiment would grow into.
We're in Early Access. Let’s go racing!
