Major Origin Gameplay Update

This update introduces a major gameplay overhaul to Origin mode.

Settlement Cycle Changes

First, Origin's settlement cycle will be changed from once every four weeks to:

A settlement at the end of every round.

New Contract System

From now on, every settlement will present you with 3 random Contracts, and you must choose one to sign.

There are currently four types of Contracts:

Capital Expansion Contract

Permanently increases your starting capital.

Profit Realization Contract

Allows you to cash out based on the profit earned during the current round.

Compound Growth Contract

Increases your current capital by a certain percentage.

Clause Exemption Contract

Affects your next settlement, causing some of the Contracts offered there to come without additional clauses.

It does not provide any immediate financial benefit, but it can give you a cleaner set of choices in the next round.

Contract Clauses

Each Contract will randomly come with an additional clause. As these clauses accumulate, the game will become increasingly difficult.

There are currently four types of clauses:

Transaction Cost Clause

Increases the transaction fee rate for future trades.

Performance Clause

Increases the profit target you are required to reach.

Risk Management Clause

Makes the maximum allowed drawdown limit more restrictive.

Consistency Clause

Makes the consistency restrictions more demanding.

Contracts Grow Stronger Over Time

As you survive more rounds:

  • Contract effect multipliers will gradually increase
  • Higher-tier Contracts will become more likely to appear

In other words, the longer you survive, the greater the rewards you can earn.

Black Market Changes

To better support the new progression system, we have also made several changes to the Black Market.

Item Removal

The Black Market will no longer sell 「Rebirth Savings」, 「Grace Token」, or 「Abyssal Gaze」.

「Voucher」Effect Changes

Vouchers will no longer affect transaction fees.

After this update, Vouchers will only affect:

The base coefficient used when a 「Capital Expansion Contract」 increases your starting capital.

Over the course of long-term progression, we want players to gradually develop a decision-making pattern similar to:

Profit Realization → Capital Expansion → Profit Realization → Capital Expansion

Instead of simply prioritizing starting capital at every opportunity, we want the new system to create more meaningful decisions at different stages of a run, giving both cashing out profits and investing in long-term growth their own distinct value.

Summary

This update will noticeably change the overall pacing of the game.

Now, almost every round will present you with a new decision:

Take the money now, or invest in the future?

Keep compounding, or reduce the risk of the next round?

How many more rounds can I survive for an even higher multiplier?

We hope this new design makes every settlement feel like a genuinely meaningful decision.
