RIFTSTORM Demo Coming Offline

ATTN: Weavers,

With RIFTSTORM launching in just a few hours, we’re taking the Steam Demo offline.

The reason is pretty simple: we need to focus the team on the main game build. There are still issues we’re actively working through, and at this point we’d rather put all of our development and QA time into getting fixes, updates, and improvements onto the version of RIFTSTORM everyone will actually be playing at launch.

The demo is also an older branch of the game, and we haven’t been able to give some of its remaining issues the attention they deserve. Keeping it online would mean splitting our focus between two increasingly different builds at exactly the moment we need that focus most.

Thank you to everyone who played the demo, reported bugs, sent us feedback, and helped us shape RIFTSTORM along the way. A huge amount of what we learned from those sessions has gone directly into the game.

For now, we’re putting our heads down and focusing on launch.

See you in a few hours, Operatives.
