THE SITE IS AN ASCENT
Earlier editions of this manual described Sector 7 as a descent. The error was in the transcription, not the site. Insertion places you at the original containment ring at the lowest level — the oldest works, poured directly around the sampling point — and every level above it was added later, wider and further out. You climb. The security thickens the whole way up, and that is why the threat scales with the floor number.
TRANSIT BETWEEN LEVELS IS NOW LOGGED
The T-Link no longer cuts between floors. It surrenders local control while the lattice resolves the level above, states the stratum you are entering, and returns your position once the coordinates agree.
EXTRACTION IS NOW RECORDED
Reaching the surface hatch is the rarest entry in the archive and it was going unwitnessed. It is now held open and recorded to the end. The Agency does not log a successful extraction as a success — the route out did not exist until an Operator used it, and Sector 7 is now known to be capable of producing one.
ASCENSION LADDERS ARE VISIBLE FROM APPROACH
Wall-mounted conduit banks were being installed within a metre of marked exits and standing in front of them. Placement has been corrected. Sealed exits now read as sealed rather than as nothing, and the hazard cage around a ladder is legible from any bearing rather than only head-on.
FURTHER CORRECTIONS
- Projection start no longer stalls on first entry to a floor.
- Loss of coherence during training now records its terminal event, as it does everywhere else.
- Terminal receipts no longer shear on narrow displays.
- Legacy interface panels removed.
Do not let Sector 7 become an exit.
