Hello everyone!
It's been a few weeks since the reveal of the game, and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has shared their thoughts and joined the discussion. Whether your feedback has been positive or critical, I genuinely appreciate it. Every comment helps identify what players are excited about, what needs improvement, and ultimately helps build a better game.
While I've been a bit quiet on the public side, development has been moving forward every day. A lot of work has been going into improving existing systems, polishing visuals, and building the foundations for upcoming features.
Here's a look at what has been worked on over the past few weeks:
As you may have noticed from the updated screenshots, a lot of work has gone into improving the lighting of the game.
The goal has been to create a more vibrant and atmospheric world, with better contrast and more depth. Small details such as shadows and the way light interacts with the environment can make a huge difference in how a scene feels, so this is something that will continue to be refined throughout development.
Almost all building models have been reworked from the ground up to improve their quality and overall visual appeal.
The original buildings were created as early prototypes to establish the style of the game, but it became clear that they needed more detail and personality. The new versions better fit the visual direction of the game and feel more unique.
Work has also begun on a dedicated snow biome, adding another environment for players to explore.
A number of environmental details have already been implemented. Characters and creatures leave trails behind as they walk through the snow, buildings have snow on rooftops, and the snow itself sparkles in the sunlight, helping the biome feel more dynamic and alive.
A new automatic road system has been implemented that creates connections between buildings. This helps villages feel more organized and creates a more natural flow as settlements expand.
There is still room for improvement, such as being able to manually adjust roads once they're created.
Over the coming weeks, I'll continue polishing core systems and improving details that help bring the world to life. This includes improvements to villager models, animations, and making villages feel more active and dynamic.
A reworked tiger model is also coming soon, and I'm looking forward to sharing more of that once it's ready.
Thank you again for following along on this journey and for all the support and feedback. It means a lot, and I'm excited to continue sharing the progress with you.
