Hi everyone,

We have released a new update with a number of fixes, improvements, and long requested quality of life changes.

This update includes fixes for dual monitor mouse behavior on Windows, keyboard and controller D-pad support for level up skill selection, updated icon artwork, a new default Knight armor look, and more Steam Deck optimisation.

We have also replaced 40+ icons with new hand drawn traditional illustration artwork created by our talented artist Magdalena from Poland. These icons better match the style of the NPC portraits. More hand drawn artwork is also in progress and will be added in future updates.

Patch Notes

Art and Visual Updates

  • Updated the starting Knight armor appearance so he looks more like a proper knight.

  • The Knight’s starting armor now matches his character selection screen appearance.

  • The Knight class now starts with a Great Sword as its default weapon.

  • Replaced 50+ icons with new hand-drawn traditional illustration artwork.

Controls and Quality of Life

  • Fixed an issue on Windows where the mouse cursor could move onto a second monitor during gameplay.

  • Added keyboard support for selecting level up skills using A, D, and Enter.

  • Added controller D-pad support for the three choice level up skill selection panel.

  • New players can now enter their name using the Steam virtual keyboard with a Steam Deck controller.

NPC, Loot, and Totem Changes

  • NPCs will no longer sell duplicate items that the player already owns.

  • Removed Pistol and Rusty Hammer from NPC shops and chest loot.

  • Weapon upgrade totems now display DPS or damage based on the weapon, making the upgrade effect clearer.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where a flying target’s death sphere effect could remain stuck on the ground.

  • Fixed a rare issue where the player could become stuck on the death screen after the game ended.

  • Added a safety check for rare startup crash cases.

  • Fixed an issue where the character cloak in the inventory screen could continue consuming performance after the inventory was closed.

Steam Deck Improvements

  • Reset Steam Deck graphics settings to a better optimized default.

  • Default settings are now optimized for Steam Deck.

  • Improved overall performance.

  • Optimized target AI to improve overall FPS.

  • Optimized spawn logic to improve FPS during heavy combat.

  • Rechecked important UI text and adjusted key text to font size 20 or above, around 13.2 px.

This includes:

  • Navigation markers and character names in the Nexus Hold.

  • Options menu text.

  • Navigation prompt text, such as Scroll and Select.

  • Character names in character selection.

Note: If you want to see grass on Steam Deck, you can manually set Grass to 50 in the graphics settings.

Thanks again for everyone’s help, support, and feedback. We will be actively improving the game. If you find any issues or have feedback, please post it in the Steam Community so we can review it and do our best to fix it.

If you are enjoying the game, please consider leaving us a review. It really helps our small indie team.

Best,

Mirari
