Getting started and operations
- Simulation processing time now counts towards the tick interval. This prevents the recurring brief pause caused by simulation and rendering drifting apart during steady movement. Actual stops are preserved.
- Trams no longer remain unnecessarily limited to shunting speed after leaving the depot. Signals and vehicles ahead still take priority.
- Naumburg’s first scheduled departure no longer waits for the next full minute.
- The followed tram moves to the top of the fleet overview and scrolls into view.
- Completed stages of the demo guide are easier to confirm. Portland’s opening stage no longer depends on other operators’ services.
- New Portland demo games also start with €5 million. Prepared starter vehicles are paid for from this budget; existing saves keep their current balance.
Track building and level crossings
- Invalid track-preview geometry could cause a path or NaN error. The preview now handles these cases safely.
- The track preview reuses previously calculated sections, reducing repeated work as you move it.
- Track building at Naumburg’s main station now accounts for the shelter roofs on the forecourt.
- Level crossings account for additional parallel tracks. Signs and warning lights match the region, with German equipment in Naumburg and American crossbucks in Portland.
- Right-angle track crossings in Portland are no longer treated as switches. Trams continue straight across them instead of making an impossible turn. Affected crossings are also repaired when loading existing saves.
Visual fixes
- Poles and stop furniture on the far side of a tram are drawn behind it according to their position.
- Four new bridge models join the three existing ones. Broadway, Steel, Hawthorne, Burnside, Morrison, Fremont and Marquam now have their own models at their locations on the game map. Specific bridge approaches and railings have also been corrected.
- Fullscreen mode now hides the Windows title bar. Windowed mode remains available in Settings.
- Corrected the articulation connections between body sections on the affected tram models.
I’m continuing to work on Portland’s performance. If you find a bug, please include the region, a few steps to reproduce it and a screenshot. Thank you for trying the demo and for your patience.
