Hello again!
A quick follow-up to yesterday's update. Two text problems, both promised within 24 hours, both now fixed.
Skill descriptions
Nine skills listed both their element and "physical damage" in the same description, which contradicted itself. Five of those were the skills that gained Earth or Wind yesterday; the other four have had the problem for a while and are fixed alongside them.
Those descriptions now name what the percentage actually scales from — "380% of Attack Power as damage" rather than "380% physical damage" — which is what the Chinese descriptions have always said. The skills themselves are unchanged.
Combat log damage types
More importantly: the combat log has been naming the wrong thing.
When you cast a skill, the log said "physical damage" or "magical damage" depending on whether the skill scaled from Attack Power or Spell Power. But that isn't what determines elemental reactions — the skill's element does. So Skybreaker Drop reported physical damage while actually landing Earth, and spells with no element reported magical damage while resolving as physical, which is why they shatter a Frost mark.
The log now names the element:
A skill with an element reports that element. "…for 176 Earth damage!"
A spell with no element reports "physical spell damage" — it scales from Spell Power and resolves physical, and the second part is what decides reactions.
Everything else is unchanged, including ordinary attacks.
This applies to companion casts too, which had the same problem.
Nothing about damage or reactions has changed. A Frost mark shatters exactly as it did before. Only the words were wrong.
Thank you all for your patience with two days of updates in a row. Back to content.
