A week has passed since the Workshop launched, and this week went into improvements and optimization. I read every review, every discussion under your works and every email.
What changed:

1. Workshop:
- Faster and clearer. The showcase opens instantly.
- Sorting: by installs, this week's trend, newest, likes, views and favourites, in either direction with one button.
- New setups carry a NEW badge, and the number on a tile shows the metric you are sorting by.
- Publishing is public right away: create a setup, hit publish, and everyone can see it.
- Two new categories: Abstract and Characters.

2. Video wallpapers:
- A clip now loops with no pause at the seam.
- Clips larger than 4K are downscaled to 4K automatically, once, on the graphics card (Windows decodes video wider than 4096 pixels on the CPU, which means two gigabytes of memory and stutter across the whole system. After downscaling such a clip plays like regular 4K).

3. A "Game" row for the system widget. Three options: hide in game, show over the game, or show only in game. If you want FPS and load only during a match, that mode is here.

4. Work was done on the app's design and performance.

5. A large number of small fixes under the hood.

If something does not work or you have an idea, write to [email protected]. Every email is read.
Enjoy!

To apply the changes, update the app to the latest version and restart Vealo!

Game update7 Sep 2026Vealo 1.1.1Two days have passed since the big 1.1 patch, and the Workshop has already filled up with your setups. I watched how you use it, read your emails and the discussions under the items, and put together a first update while it is all fresh. It is almost entirely about the Workshop. - Ratings and favourites straight from the app. A like, a dislike and the star in a setup card now go to Steam and co…Major update5 Sep 2026Vealo 1.1: Steam Workshop, Radio and VideoToday marks exactly one month since Vealo was released. In just 30 days, a simple app that hid desktop icons and had a handful of looks has grown into a full launcher with everything you need for a beautiful, clean desktop. And this is only the beginning, there is a lot more to come. Vealo became what it is thanks to your support. I have read every email with bugs and ideas, every comment under…Game update31 Aug 2026Patch notes 1.0.12New FPS counter in the load widget. The scale follows your monitor's refresh rate, and counting runs only while a game is on. Vealo never touches the game itself: no injection, no memory reading, only system events from Windows. Network latency (ping). When a game keeps an open connection to its server, you see the round trip to that very server; otherwise it is the latency of your own channel.…
