Hi everyone!
It's been roughly a month since the last post, so I thought it was time to give you an update on what I've been working on for Häxeri.
One major thing I've done is to rework attributes from the ground up. I wanted to add an accuracy attribute to counter the evasion attribute, and this made me revisit the base attributes as well. With this, now you can buff and debuff attack, defense, accuracy, evasion, speed and crit (and so can your enemies!).
I have also changed how weapons affect the damage formulas, and created a whole bunch of equipment, including over 100 different weapons.
The first few floors of the game are starting to take shape layout-wise, encounter-wise and visually. I have had multiple versions of the first floors since Häxeri started development, mostly to be able to test the systems I've implemented, but now I have designs that I feel actually hold up.
And as can be seen in the picture below, the game is running on Steam Deck! It's a native Linux build, and I intend to make Steam Deck a first class target for this game. I'm personally a big fan of the Steam Deck and will do a lot of my testing on it, so the game running well there is in my own interest.
Finally, Häxeri has new capsule art! These are commissioned from Shutwig (https://x.com/Shutwig), and I'm super happy with the result. Especially fun to have new capsule set in time for the Party-Based RPG Fest here on Steam, which Häxeri will participate in next week. :)
Thank you for reading this update and for supporting Häxeri! ❤️
