V3.0 Major Update — Sherpa Voice Companion, Steam Deck & Controller Support

The mountain is vast. This time, you have a voice beside you.

V3.0 brings a new companion and more ways to make the climb your own: Sherpa voice companion Pemba, full Steam Deck and controller support, and expanded settings for your display, graphics, sound and controls.

Meet Pemba — your Sherpa voice companion

In Expedition Mode, Pemba accompanies your journey with Chinese or English voice and subtitles. He responds to what is happening on the mountain: reaching camp, changing weather, low oxygen, fatigue, the summit push and the descent.

Ask him for advice about your current situation, or listen as he shares mountain stories, encouragement and moments of conversation along the way. As you spend more time together, your bond grows and more conversations open up.

Choose voice and subtitles, subtitles only, or turn the guide off. You can also adjust his voice volume separately.

Full Steam Deck & controller support

Take the expedition into your hands. V3.0 brings full Steam Deck and controller support, with controller operation across gameplay and menus, including expedition interactions and the new settings menu.

Adjust stick sensitivity to suit your preferred feel, and enjoy the climb from your desk, sofa or handheld.

New resolution, graphics & settings options

Fine-tune the experience for your screen and the way you play:

• Select your resolution and graphics quality.
• Switch between first-person and third-person views.
• Adjust master volume and Pemba's voice volume.
• Set mouse and stick sensitivity.
• Change settings with a controller. Resolution changes include a confirmation countdown that restores the previous setting if you do not confirm.
