0.3.1 - Saving Moves to the Dragon's Veins

Saving

  • The game now saves itself at Dragon's Veins. Your progress is recorded whenever your active vein changes — reaching a new one, or returning to one you found earlier.
  • Earning an Aspect slot or picking up a major item still saves too.
  • Saving from the pause menu is gone. It let you save inside a boss arena or partway through a chase and then reload into a world where the encounter had reset around you, skipping it entirely.
  • One save list now, newest first, keeping your last 8. Each entry says what wrote it: Dragon's Vein, Aspect Slot or Item Found.
  • Quitting or returning to the main menu no longer asks you to confirm. Your progress is never further behind than the last vein.

Fixes

  • Menu panels and frames didn't render at all in 0.3.0, leaving menu text floating loose over the game. They're back.
  • The "Journal updated" notice appeared in the top-left corner instead of the bottom-right.
  • Holding a direction during a conversation now keeps you running the moment it ends, instead of making you let go and press again.

Note

  • Saves made in 0.3.0 will not appear in this build — a save is tied to the version that wrote it. They are not deleted, and will reappear if you roll back.
