Wackytown — v1.1.1 Launch Update

Hey Wackers! First patch since launch is here. Focus: making multiplayer feel right + adding some spice for solo runs. Nine multiplayer sync bugs squashed and a full opt-in blood system for players who want their kills to feel a little more visceral.

---

## 🩸 New: Blood System (opt-in)

Toggle it on at **Settings → Accessibility → Blood Effects**. Off by default — nothing changes for players who don't want it.

- Enemies spray blood on every hit (small burst) and on death (big burst + a ground pool that fades over 12 seconds)
- Ground pools stick around long enough to matter — walk through one and blood splatters onto your character
- Bloody footprints trail behind you for 8 seconds while you're stained
- Stains fade cleanly, no visual pollution left behind

---

## 🎮 Multiplayer Sync — 9 major fixes

If you played multiplayer at launch, you probably hit one of these. All resolved:

- **Shadow companion no longer appears giant to other players** — was inheriting a broken prefab scale on remote clients
- **Shadow projectiles now sync** — remote players see the shots your Shadow companion fires, not just phantom damage
- **Freeze effect syncs across clients** — everyone now sees the ice tint + slow when an enemy gets frozen
- **Base health stays in sync** — host and clients no longer drift apart; the health bar you see is the real number
- **Map selection syncs to the lobby** — when the host picks a map, joiners see the same one in the lobby UI
- **Modded (Workshop) skins now render on remote players** — no more default sprite when your friend equips a Workshop skin
- **Accepting a Steam invite lands you in the Lobby screen** — was silently joining the room without showing the panel
- **Steam Workshop publish is more reliable** — now sets language explicitly and validates the content folder before submit, resolving the k_EResultInvalidParam that some skin creators hit
- **Loading screens now appear on every scene transition** — was silently bypassed on death → main menu, restart, and 10 other paths

---

## 🎨 Polish

- **Loading screens with tips** — every scene load shows a random gameplay tip in the corner, Fortnite-style
- **Optional background music mixing** for user-created loading screens
- Cleaner scene transitions across the whole game

---

## 🐛 Known / Coming Soon

- v1.1.2 is being scoped now. If you hit anything weird, drop a comment on the Steam Discussions board and I'll see it.
- Steam Workshop uploader flow will keep getting polished as more players share skins.

---

**Thanks for playing.** Wackytown launched two days ago and every single person playing right now is either a friend, a Steam wishlist notification, or a legend who found it in the "New Releases" tab. You're all why this exists. Keep grinding those waves.
