Raw Video has a new video engine.
This is not just a collection of small fixes. A huge amount of Raw Video has changed under the hood, including the core system responsible for turning your images into video.
The goal was simple: make Raw Video faster to work with, easier to control, and much better at carrying an idea from an image into a complete sequence.
The people have spoken.
After hearing from the community, we've decided Raw Video belongs at $9.99 permanently.
Creating with AI shouldn't drain your wallet every time inspiration strikes.
No temporary discount.
No countdown.
No subscription.
No generation credits.
$9.99 is the new permanent price.
The biggest change in this update is the video-generation engine itself.
Raw Video's video pipeline has been heavily rebuilt to provide a better foundation for animation, continuation, scene building, and future improvements.
You should notice a much more complete workflow around generated video, rather than simply making one clip and starting over.
Your video doesn't have to end when the first clip does.
After generating a video, Raw Video can now use the end of that clip as the starting point for what happens next.
Madison can examine where the scene ended and help you continue it into another shot.
This makes it possible to start building actual sequences instead of treating every generation as an isolated clip.
The Canvas is now the source of truth.
If you create a new image, edit something, analyze the Canvas, or switch to another image, Raw Video understands that the image you are currently looking at is the one you want to work with.
Both creative starting points have received improvements.
Surprise Me can quickly throw new visual ideas at you when you don't know what you want to make yet.
Guide Me gives you a more directed way to develop an idea with Madison and move it toward an image, animation, or scene.
You can start with almost nothing and let Raw Video help you find the idea along the way.
Sound-effect generation has also been improved.
When you create SFX for a video, the sound is tied to the clip it belongs to and follows that clip's timing on the timeline.
That means a five-second scene gets sound designed around the full scene instead of an oddly shortened audio block.
The timeline continues to grow into the place where your individual generations become an actual video.
This update includes improvements to:
We've also continued improving the image side of Raw Video.
A lot of work went into making generation feel less mysterious.
Render jobs now provide clearer progress and state information, and Raw Video does a better job of managing its resources while something is being generated.
Madison temporarily pauses while Raw Video is rendering so the GPU can focus on your generation, then resumes when the render is finished.
Raw Video remains built around the same idea it started with:
Your hardware does the work.
No cloud render queue.
No tokens.
No generation credits.
No monthly subscription.
Create as much as your machine can handle.
Raw Video is an independent project, and every person who has tried it, reported something weird, suggested an improvement, or simply made something with it has helped shape where it goes next.
This update represents a pretty massive step forward for Raw Video.
And at $9.99 permanently, we want it to remain something people can actually afford to experiment with.
Go make something weird.
