This time it’s official: Alonitaire comes out on Steam on 30 September 2026!

I’m Kryon, its solo developer, and I’m thrilled to be able to give you the release day of the full game at last. In the announcement of the release month, I let the Joker do the writing. If you read it, you already know how well he took the news. This time I’d rather tell you myself, although with him around, even announcing a date has its complications.

A solitaire game where playing fair only gets you so far

In Alonitaire you can use sigils to break the rules of solitaire, wake cards with an identity of their own and face a Joker who punishes cheating. You look for a way to win; he does not find that funny at all.

The demo lets you wake as many as ten cards. On 30 September the full game arrives, and the Jack of Spades will need your help to wake the rest. There is much more beneath this deck, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.

Thank you to everyone who has played the demo, left a comment or followed the development. And if you have only just arrived: welcome. There is still time to meet the Joker before release.

You can play the demo from today and add Alonitaire to your wishlist.

See you on 30 September. Cheating is allowed; whether the Joker forgives it is another matter.

Announcement11 Aug 2026I regret to inform you that Alonitaire will be released in September 2026.Ladies and gentlemen. I have been asked to write this announcement. I agreed on one condition: that my objection be recorded in writing. Someone has decided that this is finished. I have not. That something is finished and that it must therefore be released to the public are two different matters, and they have been confused. Alonitaire will be released in September 2026. There. I have said it.…In-game event7 Aug 2026The updated demo is now available. And the Joker has opinions of his own.A new demo of Alonitaire is now available. Same game, same deck, same Joker. What's gone is the friction. During Next Fest I watched people lose to the interface instead of losing to him. So this update is about the things that were getting in the way. He insisted on having his say about each one. 1. Sigils are activated by holding them down. The OK and Cancel buttons are gone. Press a Sigil an…In-game event22 Feb 2026The Joker tried to break the demo. Patch v0.091.Hello everyone! Tomorrow is the big day: Steam Next Fest begins. Over the past couple of weeks, a few brave content creators have been testing an early version of the demo, and their feedback has been invaluable in polishing the experience. I want to give a special shoutout to ExplodinBeef . During his run, a card mysteriously vanished from the table, preventing him from finishing the game. At…
