Hi! This update is almost entirely about making Vealo reliable in any situation. I went through the whole app with a big review and fixed more than seventy spots you might not even have noticed. Plus a few new things you asked for.
The FPS counter works again
The latest Windows 11 update (26H2) changed how the system reports frames, so the FPS counter showed a dash. It broke frame counting not only for us but for other overlays too. The counter now works on both the new and the older Windows and shows accurate numbers.
If FPS doesn't appear after the update, turn FPS off and on again in the System widget and confirm the Windows prompt. You only need to do this once.
2. Widgets: one colour for everything, plus a separate accent
The new "Colour" row paints the whole widget: pick white, and everything is white. A separate "Accent" row paints the key details: today's date, the track bar, the degrees.
Shadow can be turned off for each widget, and "To all widgets" copies that too.
Two new clocks: Orbit and Quadrant.
On the Widgets tab, you can now grab a widget anywhere, not just by the outline of the digits. The visualizer shows the move cursor.
3. Workshop
Setup cards now show the author: avatar and name. Click the name to see all their setups.
4. Wallpapers stay in place
Wallpapers are tied to the monitor itself, not to the number Windows gives it. They no longer get mixed up after you reconnect screens.
After a graphics driver update, sleep or reconnecting a monitor, Vealo brings your wallpapers back if Windows reset them.
Profiles and Roulette set wallpapers on all screens, not just the selected one.
The wallpaper currently on your desktop can't be deleted from "Mine" by accident.
5. Effects
Lightning can be turned on by itself, without other effects. The first strike comes right away.
A maximized window on one monitor no longer turns off effects on another. Effects turn off everywhere only in games.
If the effects layer ever freezes, Vealo restarts it on its own within seconds.
6. Steam and reliability
If Steam disconnects, Vealo reconnects on its own, no restart needed.
Deleting to the Recycle Bin now warns you when a file doesn't fit in the bin, instead of silently deleting it for good.
Lots of smaller security and stability improvements.
