The One Who Asks Can Be Reached

The last update gave your people a plea worth answering. This one fixes the part where you could not get to them.

  • Your hand reaches the one who is asking. If a soul called to you from far outside your cities, you could not select her, and Comfort would not land — every click fell on empty ground, however carefully you aimed. What you were seeing was a heartbeat behind where she actually stood, and someone walking outruns a heartbeat. She holds still under your hand now.

  • The plea names the help. The card used to tell you that no power of yours answered the need — while Comfort, the one power that does, sat on your bar the whole time. It names it now: on the card, in her needs, and on the map.

  • The deadline is real. A plea's window was four times longer than a person lives, so “act within a limited time” was never quite true — it could not run out. Now it can, and it does. Go to her, or the asking ends another way.

  • The herds move smoothly. Migrating animals flickered and jumped a little, once for every cell they crossed, both from above and up close. They travel unbroken now.

  • The inspector stops promising what it cannot keep. Resting the cursor on inhabited ground could name a threshold that meant nothing and predicted nothing. It names only real conditions now.

Older saves still load. Because the plea's deadline genuinely changes how a world unfolds, a save kept by an earlier version is retold from its own history rather than restored instantly — it will say so once, and only once.

Game update2 Sep 2026The RaisingIn “The Founding” you arrived early enough to watch the first towns take hold. This update is about what those towns do next — they decide to build something, and the whole street turns out for it. A town raises its own works, and the street turns out to them. A well or a granary used to accumulate quietly until, one year, it simply existed. Now every work has a raising. When that day comes the…Game update31 Aug 2026The FoundingThis update ships early, and honestly: a save made while zoomed all the way in could fail to load in v0.44 — silently, so it looked like the Continue button did nothing. That is fixed, and it could not wait for the rest of the week's work. A save made up close loads again. If you saved while walking among your people and Continue seemed to ignore you, it was not your save — it was us. Loading n…Game update29 Aug 2026The World LivesThe longest gap between updates ends with the biggest change this world has had: it founds, it burns, and it endures the way it was always meant to. Towns return, for the whole saga. The world used to stop making places after its first century and a half — on The Long Winter the map emptied toward three lonely settlements and stayed there. New towns now rise across the entire age: about ten sta…
