A Plea You Can Answer

When someone in your world asked for help, they had usually stopped needing it before you could reach them. This release changes what they ask for.

  • They ask about what they cannot mend alone. A hungry soul goes and eats — that was never a prayer, it was an errand, and it was finished before you looked up. Now a soul asks when her health is failing, and there is nothing she can do about that by herself. You pray when you are sick, not when you are hungry.

  • Your hand is the answer. What reaches her is not a blessing on the fields nearby. It is Comfort, laid on that one person. You have to go to her.

  • Silence has a cost now. Nearly every plea used to settle itself while you watched — only one in twenty ended with no help at all. Now it is closer to one in two. If you do not answer, the asking ends another way.

  • And answering works. Reach the one who is asking and better than four in five prayers are answered, where before it was barely one in three even if you acted the very instant she spoke.

Pleas still arrive as often as they always did, about one every three minutes of play. What changed is that each one is now a request rather than a notice.

Game update2 Sep 2026The RaisingIn “The Founding” you arrived early enough to watch the first towns take hold. This update is about what those towns do next — they decide to build something, and the whole street turns out for it. A town raises its own works, and the street turns out to them. A well or a granary used to accumulate quietly until, one year, it simply existed. Now every work has a raising. When that day comes the…Game update31 Aug 2026The FoundingThis update ships early, and honestly: a save made while zoomed all the way in could fail to load in v0.44 — silently, so it looked like the Continue button did nothing. That is fixed, and it could not wait for the rest of the week's work. A save made up close loads again. If you saved while walking among your people and Continue seemed to ignore you, it was not your save — it was us. Loading n…Game update29 Aug 2026The World LivesThe longest gap between updates ends with the biggest change this world has had: it founds, it burns, and it endures the way it was always meant to. Towns return, for the whole saga. The world used to stop making places after its first century and a half — on The Long Winter the map emptied toward three lonely settlements and stayed there. New towns now rise across the entire age: about ten sta…
