Park Studio is rebranding to Theme Park Architect, this new name was voted by the community and perfectly reflects the game's vision, features and overall vibe.
This rebranding doesn't fundamentally change anything except the logo and general visual assets. At its core Theme Park Architect remains the next generation of theme park simulation that Park Studio promised to be, but the new name was chosen to detach from confusion with another abandoned project unrelated to this one.
Do note that there will be a transitional period where both names will exist at once in different places, I am actively working on updating all assets, logos and descriptions to the new name, while in-game logos and rich presence will be updated alongside the next game update.
To celebrate this new name, the roadmap was revealed, you can look at it right here or on the discord for higher resolution:
I am currently actively working on the next update, it is very likely going to be 1.0.3 and will fix a ton of issues while switching the game internally to C++ and bumping the engine to its latest version.
As I've mentioned on the Discord, the C++ switch is extremely mindful and futureproof, the framework is built for multiplayer and modding, but those aren't active development areas at the moment.
The update will introduce a brand new coaster model, a versatile family coaster that I'm sure you will all love, here's is a sneak peek, first seen on the discord:
Then, I will finally begin working on the next major update, the Visitors Update, currently planned to release just around X-mas this year, at worst early next year. Of course, if development lags behind I will keep you all updated!
