Demo gets another update!!

This new build is focused on improving the support for non gamepad players (also known as mouse players), and also improve scale options for high resolution monitors to both play it better but also stream it better in case you are a streamer.

Here is the full change log since the last demo update:

0.7.18 - First experience improvements.

* Added: ship can be moved with right mouse button now, and interact with middle button (no instructions for now)

* Changed: reduced a bit the drones cost.

* Changed: asteroid generation now tries to grow in resistance faster.

* Changed: reduced a bit how anomalies progress over levels and reduced the number of spawns (wip)

* Fixed: gamehud wasn't opening again after disabling autohide.

* Fixed: asteroid selection popup wasn't working with mouse.

* Fixed: try to fix strange mouse cursor behaviour in linux, I suppose it wasn't in pixel perfect positions so it looked weird.

0.7.17 - Mouse & Better 4k monitor support

* Added: initial version for mouse support to aim the mining ray.

* Changed: separated audio and gameplay options, mainly to start separating in smaller windows for the future.

* Changed: master volume is not 50% by default on first open.

* Fixed: improved ui slider experience for mouse users.

* Fixed: working in fixing game scale factors for high resolution screens, mainly 4k monitors.

0.7.16 - UI Rework & Bug fixes

* Added: options toggle to show/hide playtime timer (hidden by default)

* Added: options toggle to autohide gamehud for a more immersive experience (disabled by default).

* Changed: adjusted drones cost after adding more gold to asteroids.

* Changed: UI rework to use support new font to prepare for localization for the future.

* Fixed: weird font artifacts after changing ui scale.

* Fixed: internals extra checks to try to catch some errors.

* Fixed: player stats tech and upgrades count on complete game were not being saved properly.

Thanks for reading!Community31 Aug 2026Ship Miner now supports multiple languages! Here is how the game could look in Japanese. Even though the game is not finished, and will change for sure, preparing the game to support different languages shouldn’t be the last thing to do. The objective for the last week was to technically prepare the game while also validate some UI changes I did a couple of months ago where I decided to change to use a pixelart font named Silver that sup…Community24 Aug 2026Making runs feel more different and indirect combat. While I am preparing the game for EA release, I am tackling some big issues and unknowns to then focus on adding more content and polishing the game. In this blogpost in particular I want to talk about making runs feel more different and changing the combat to be more indirect. One of the issues is that the game feels a bit repetitive in some decisions during the run. This doesn’t mean there ar…
