To celebrate, a new mode has been added to the game: Easy Difficulty!
To play the game on Easy, select it from the start screen on a brand new game, or go to the Game Settings menu and change it there. You can change the difficulty any time, but it will not alter during an active mission.
Easy Difficulty gives you an extra base health and helmet, and also sends out resupply Dropships that deliver ammo and helmets when you need them. You also will get unlimited respawns, as long as you have captures to sacrifice, and your sacrifice penalty is much lower.

However, you can't get a Fastest Time when playing Easy Difficulty. This mode is really meant for people who want a faster experience with the game, or to run through alternate endings quicker, but Normal Difficulty is really the mode meant to be played. The difficulty is saved with each saved game, but it can still be changed via the Settings menu, and resaved with a different difficulty, so you are never locked into one difficulty with any one game.
