Hello everyone! It has been an unreal week for all of us here after announcing MR. RECORDS during Day of the Devs, and before we carry on with the rest of the blog - we'd just like to say THANK YOU for all the hype and support you've shared with us. From comments during the livestreams, to posts on trailers and reactions to socials - we have definitely felt the love, and we hope you're just as excited to learn more about the game as we are to share it with you! There's been a few updates since the announcement that we thought we'd share with you, so without further ado - let's get going!
The big announcement last Friday was just the start of our journey! After the reveal we spent the weekend with the press as part of the play days behind closed doors event, letting people get a hands on with MR. RECORDS and give us their feedback - suffice to say, they loved it. Here's a handful of sneaky shots, and by extension a few new sneaky screenshots for you! We also got a little social moment of praise from indie legendary Yoshida which made our hearts swell a little! (And yes for those sharp eyed there, that's it on a SteamDeck where it looks and plays GREAT)
As the press wrap up their coverage from Summer Games Fest as a whole you'll probably spot us out in the wild with some little tidbits of information from those who played:
Such as WhatCulture Gaming declaring us a Surprise hands on BANGER!
Or Kinda Funny sharing their wish for a BOBS BURGERS STYLE game along with their initial reactions.
TechRaptor sharing their hands on impressions (and revealing that yup, there's a hard mode for each song, and the customer requests hinting at the mixture of riddle and story depth)
We'll share more of these with you as they come out, and of course all the little extra bits of information you'll gleam from previews? We'll tell you a LOT more about in the near future.
Which leads me to the tail end of our little blog today, we have a LOT to share with you in the coming months about MR. RECORDS, some things shedding a little light on things we've already shared, some announcements about some VERY cool things we haven't even revealed about the game yet such as the fact that there is.... sorry, I like my job, not gonna give secrets away just yet! But outside of the marketing bits and big important announcements around events and dates - there's still plenty of room to share things YOU want to know about. So go ahead and drop a comment about what YOU are most interested in. Maybe how the songs are made? More of those recordings you saw during the trailer? More info on George and Buzz or the other characters? Information on how the art is put together? what the developers favourite soup is? Any and all suggestions considered, so let me know what's on your mind, and I'll do my best to deliver between all of the hype moments ːsteamhappyː That's it for today! Thank you all for your eyeball time - once again a humble request to PLEASE hit the wishlist button, it's the lifeblood of the indie community and helps us tell Steam that y'all really love us and want us to have nice things! Feel free to share the game with your friends too, and follow us on your social channel of choice to introduce underpants, dogs (yes, plural, but unfortunately no dogs in underpants), and what is likely to become the soundtrack to your summer into your timelines. Have a great week! - your friends at Wiredp and Glee-Cheese
