BRICK — Build Update Call Notes (1.1)

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Everything since the live-feedback update (chopper, civilians, AI chat, turret ammo, drive-by shooting). Cumulative — if any build between then and now was never promoted, this one contains it.

Building parts — the workbench shelf is full now

One Wide Frame. A Bay Door Frame and a Double-Door Frame were the same hole in the same wall, so there's one frame now — the Wide Frame — and both double doors and a bay door fit it. Bases that already have a Bay Frame keep it, and a bay door hanging in one still fits the way it always did.

Doors you craft.

Handcraft Workbench 2 Workbench 3
Single Wooden Door Stone Door Metal Door
Double Wooden Double Doors Stone Double Doors Metal Double Doors

Wooden double doors no longer need a workbench or a blueprint. Craft a Stone Door, put it over the wooden one already hanging, and it replaces it in place. A worse door over a better one is refused and stays in your bag.

Something to put in a window. Wooden Shutters (WB1) · Reinforced Window — glass behind a welded grid, you can still see out (WB2) · Metal Enclosure Slit — two corrugated plates with a firing slit (WB3) · Metal Enclosure Solid — boarded right over (WB3).

They hang in a Window Wall the way a door hangs in a doorway, and they fill the hole — a covered window is no longer a shooting port. The Glass Window Wall is retired; one Window Wall is all you need.

Bay doors roll up instead of sliding a slab of shutter through the floor above.

Quality of life

Ladders are solid · Bandages are a real item with a proper icon · Turret Ammo Box so turrets stop fighting over one storage box · NO AMMO stopped flickering · the hammer targets doors · upgrades happen on the floor you're standing on · recruits can Cook raw food from a box at the campfire until it's gone.

AI chat

Rivals answer you again. The cooldown that quietened the channel was also swallowing the lines you were waiting on — the reply to your own alliance or truce offer, the warning someone is at your walls, your base falling, an arrest, a call for help. Those always land now; ambient chatter stays as quiet as today. Rivals also stopped burning dialogue on lines that were never shown, so they repeat themselves less.

Co-op

Three things that were quietly wrong on the server the whole time:

Friendly fire off now means off. It only protected you if both players had formed the same named clan — almost nobody does.
Your partner's workbench counts as yours. The server treated a friend's bench and cabinet as a stranger's, so you couldn't craft or research at them.
You can repair and upgrade the base you built together. Demolition still belongs to whoever placed the piece; storage boxes are still private.
The new doors, coverings and Wide Frame all work over the wire.

Game update5 Sep 2026BRICK Update: Graphics, Performance, Keybinding & MoreThis is the largest update since the map release: 43 changes covering the freezing, the entire art style, every car, the characters, the props, the adverts, and a controls system players had been asking for. 1. The freezing is fixed This was the complaint that mattered most, and it deserves the honest version. The game stuttered every few seconds while moving or turning. It was worse on HIGH, a…Game update2 Sep 2026Interactive Map UpdateThe map is now something you can actually use Zoom and pan Scroll to zoom, drag to pan, from the whole island in to 9x. The point under your cursor stays put while you zoom, which is what makes it feel like a map rather than a slider. There are buttons too — ZOOM ±, CENTRE ON ME, and WHOLE ISLAND — and the current zoom is shown in the corner. The thing that quietly breaks features like this is…Game update31 Aug 2026New Update: Recruit Farming & Smarter RivalsThe theme is the people in the world. Your crew can farm, and rival survivors finally arm themselves instead of standing around holding a rock. There are also two bugs in here that could end a run outright. New: your crew can farm A fifth recruit order alongside Follow Me, Guard Here, Harvest and Cook. Put down farm plots, keep seed in a storage box, and a recruit on Farm plants them, harvests…
