It's been a little longer between updates this time, thanks to summer holidays here in Sweden... let's just say we're famous for taking our summer breaks seriously!
We've been busy continuing down the path of refactoring the foundation to bring a more complete GeoGuessr experience to Steam. Part of "closing the gap" to the full experience the game offers on Web also means figuring out how we enable cross-platform play. This has us taking a closer look at how our current yearly Steam Pass is performing, and whether it's time to consider a monthly option too. More updates on this to come!
Meanwhile, we’ve shipped a few fixes and have a few updates to share:
Achievements issue
We believe we've solved a bug that was preventing players from claiming achievements. This one literally had us pulling our hair out trying to track it down.
Single Player Mode – World
World is our single-player mode where you can explore the world at your own pace: discovering new places, revisiting places you've been before, and building your experience and skills in figuring out where you are.
New navigation
We've added new navigation for easier access to our main game modes: Daily Challenge, World and Competitive.
One-Time Password (OTP) login
We've added One-Time Password (OTP) login for users logging in with email.
Party is coming!
Our much-loved Party game mode, where you can invite your friends and play together, was recently refreshed with an updated UI, and we're working on bringing it to the Steam Edition too.
