SHADOW RUNNER is out now

SHADOW RUNNER is live — and it's 20% off through August 19. $7.99 → $6.39.The signal breaks. No commands left — only the hum of something older. Your blade answers first.A fast, unforgiving action-roguelike about one runner, one katana, and three descents that don't let you back out.

Cut with intent

Combat built for expression, not button-mashing. Every swing has a commitment cost and every cancel is a decision:

  • Three-phase combos — light and heavy chains that flow into aerial dives and ground plunges

  • Dive-cancel — bail out of a whiffed attack into a dive and rewrite your spacing mid-fight

  • Dash with i-frames — read the telegraph, cross through it, punish from the far side

  • Hit-pause and slow-mo tuned by hand so a clean kill lands

Nothing here is a stat check. If you get hit, you can name the mistake.

Three descents

24 chapters across three campaigns, each with its own maps, enemies, cutscenes and themes:

  • THE CORRIDOR — 12 chapters, from the first checkpoint to the First Dark. Where the signal broke.

  • THE VOLCANO — 6 chapters of ashfall, caldera rim, magma flow and obsidian, down to something that is still striking an anvil.

  • THE UNDERWORLD — 6 chapters where the ground itself is the hazard: ferries drifting over a fatal river, fields that collapse under you, chains that swing with their anchor, scales that rise as you stand on them, and a pit whose only way out is a geyser.

38 enemy types, each demanding a different answer — impalers that punish standing still, blasters that punish standing anywhere, drowned that kill on contact, golems that go untouchable and tell you when.
The Volcano and the Underworld open once you clear Chapter 1.

Build it as you fall

  • Pact of Curses — take up to three, each a penalty bolted to a reward, committed for the whole run

  • Loot & gear — affixes, set bonuses, and uniques that rewrite a rule instead of adding a number

  • Tag synergy — every upgrade carries tags. Stack seven of one tag, then fifteen, and each threshold pays out: marked enemies, dash detonations, refunded stamina, cascading cooldowns.

  • Six sub-weapons — drone, grenade, knife, disc, tether, skull. One slot, six completely different openings.

  • Challenge arenas behind sealed doors — locked in, no exit, better rewards for the greedy

Six that end chapters

  • THE VOIDLORD — the thing that answered the broken signal

  • THE SOVEREIGN — what's left of whoever ruled here

  • THE FORGE — it's still making them

  • THE EYE — it has been watching the whole descent

  • THE HEART — beneath the last vent, an anvil that has been struck since before the corridor

  • THE TWIN JUDGES — two thrones, one verdict each, and they have been agreeing for a very long time

And after that

Endless mode — no ending, no mercy, just how far the build carries you. Your best run goes on the Steam leaderboard. Somebody is going deeper than you right now.

Plays how you play

  • Full controller support — the entire game, menus included, pad-only. Remappable, prompts swap to match your device.

  • Steam Deck — native Linux build, no Proton layer

  • 6 languages — English, 简体中文, 日本語, Deutsch, 한국어, Français

  • Easy and Normal on separate save slots, with Nightmare unlocking on top

  • Fullscreen, borderless or windowed, 3 UI text sizes, and colorblind-conscious readability cues

Launch week — 20% off

Through August 19. After that it goes to full price. One blade. No retreat. Go down.
