Hi everyone,

We have released a patch to address several issues and improve the overall gameplay experience.

Special thanks to the players who mentioned these issues and shared feedback in the community.

Your feedback really helps us understand what needs to be fixed, improved, and polished as we continue working on the game.

This patch includes more third person camera distance options. All of these come with settings, so you can adjust the camera to your own feel.

We also added Auto Attack options, including Auto Switch, Melee Only, and Ranged Only, along with many other improvements.

For first time players, we understand some players may struggle with the new mechanics in DLS. It is very different from a standard Vampire Survivors style game, so we added a Tutorial Mode to help players get the basic idea of how to play the game.

We know a lot of players are on Steam Deck only and want to play DLS, so we did some overtime this week to make the first step for Deck support.

This is still in the testing stage, but if you set the graphics to Low and set grass to 50 or 0, you should be able to run the game around 30 to 40 FPS depending on the scene. Setting grass to 0 will give better FPS, but there will be no grass.

We will continue to improve Steam Deck support and send the game to Steam for Deck review when it is ready.

Performance and Steam Deck Improvements

  • Added particle prewarming to reduce VFX performance spikes.

  • Reduced micro-stutters that appeared on some computers.

  • Improved gameplay smoothness.

  • Optimized memory usage for Steam Deck.

  • Added 1280 x 800 resolution support on Steam Deck.

Game Changes and Bug Fixes:

  • Added third-person camera distance options:

-Immersive: closer third-person shooter style view.

-Balanced: standard camera distance.

-Tactical: zoomed-out view for more control, same as sprint camera distance.

  • Added Map Legend together with Control Hints, so players can check map icons and controls more easily.

  • Added Auto Attack options:

  • Auto Switch

  • Melee Only

  • Ranged Only

  • Added Tutorial Mode for first-time players.

  • Added Replay Tutorial option under Options.

  • Increased detection range for auto melee attacks.

  • Fixed a bug where being killed by slime monsters could cause no monsters to spawn in the next run.

  • Fixed a bug where the death screen could get stuck if the player died while idle.

  • Fixed a bug where bullets could fire behind the player.

  • Fixed a bug where the merchant could spawn underground on the Ice Field map.

We want to thank the community for the amazing support. It has been a crazy week for us with non stop patching, testing, and fixing. We will take a short break over the weekend, and there is still a lot more to cover next week.

If you have enjoyed the game, please consider leaving a review. It will help us a lot.

Hope every one has a nice weekend!

Best,

Mirari
