📋TESTING: We have activated a matchmaking test that increases maximum queue times for Plat+ players on all platforms, in all regions. The queue time increase scales with Rank tier, and Masters players could expect a maximum extension of approximately 30 seconds.
This test is in pursuit of tighter skill bands in high skill matches and less spill over of high rank players into mid-rank matches, as the matchmaker spends more time prioritizing the tightest possible lobbies before expanding its search. This test will run until the end of the season, or until we have enough data.
Please continue to give feedback on if you are experiencing tighter matchmaking.
