Exciting news today as you can now try out Critterrupters for yourself!
This demo features a lot of stuff to get a real taste of what the full game is like. You'll get to create your own character, pick a Hangolin buddy (starter is locked to Hangolin but I'll get to that in a bit) and then head out on your journey to download Critterbytes and conquer the Nature Club.
This demo gives you access to a few things early such as the skateboard for speedy travelling. You'll also get the Card Binder which will let you swap cards with other characters. You can't finish the card collection in the demo, but if you like swapping, this feature is for you. And finally you can Synthesise Mods. Once you've found a mod, you can make as many as you like using data obtained from downloading Critterbytes you already own.
Your adventure starts on the main area of Nikkolo Island where the main bulk of the residents live. The quaint park is bordered by shops and restaurants, and of course, the Critterbyte HQ. This is a large area with lots of trainers to get used to the interrupting battle system and a range of Critterbytes to download and start making your battle team your own. Make sure to keep an eye out for all the mods hidden around.
And later you're onto the Petal Fields, a more rural area of open plains, farmers fields and home to the Nature Club. A whole slew of new Critterbytes can be found around here, so be sure to finalise your battle team before heading into the Nature Club for that Nature Pin. At the start of the game battles are 2v2 to ease you in but the Club is 3v3 and it also adds a special rule on top of your battles. It's not gonna be easy to get that pin.
As said above, you can only choose Hangolin in this demo because Critterrupters sends you on a different route depending on which buddy you choose. Hangolin goes south to the Nature Club, Wallablaze goes north to the Blaze Club and Aguatto goes east to the Aqua Club.
So your save data doesn't carry over to the full game in case you want to start the full game with Wallablaze or Aguatto. (Also incase I change stuff between the demo and full game, the save data probably won't work any more either!)
Have fun on Nikkolo Island!
