Ahoy ahoy captains! We have a freshly caught update to the demo for ya.

New Features

  • Save slot system, you can now have multiple saves going at the same time

  • Bug and feedback tool, Hit F4 to let us know if the game has sprung a leak and need some caulking

  • Time of day tracker, a much requested feature!

  • More variation in quest difficulty, this one was a lot of work to get in! You can now find a larger selection of quests when going to the bulletin boards with varying difficulty

  • Enemy levelling. You can now encounter more difficult specimens of Shiftlings if you venture out into the Rifts

  • New nighttime hazards: Gloom & Shredder

  • More quest types & events

Bug fixes and tweaks

  • Island generation & placement more natural

  • Flare effect on ramming weapons (no more red-nosed battleships)

  • More additions to the Almanac

  • Fitted cannons to the Marauder Hideout

  • General polish, typo fixing, and bug squashing

Balancing

  • Rebalanced Ocean & Deep Ocean to even out the difficulty curve

  • Made provisions & coal more expensive

  • Added Rusty Carronade, a cheap, low-powered variant of the Iron Carronade

Also I have made my first devlog for the game over on YouTube about how the initial concept came about. I'm no one take Schreier but I hope you'll find the video interesting!

As always let us know over on the Discussions board or on our Discord if you have any feedback!

Safe winds
