Our first Sudokiller Demo major update is here!
We’ve been reading all of your feedback, suggestions, reviews, and discussions since the demo launched, and we’ve made a bunch of changes that we genuinely think make the game better.
A lot of these improvements came directly from things you told us, so thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Here’s what’s new:
A compass with cardinal directions has been added to make directional clues easier to read. This visual aid can be turned off.
Suspect initials in board notes can be color-coded for clearer visualization. This can also be disabled.
Hovering over a suspect’s Polaroid now highlights and enlarges that suspect’s notes on the board, making them much easier to find.
Placed suspect portraits become more transparent once that character is on the board, making it easier to see who’s still missing.
Manual Xs can be placed on non-occupiable objects, giving you more freedom when marking the board.
Placing a manual red X clears all notes in that cell. White Xs leave the notes untouched.
The eraser lets you choose exactly which note to remove, instead of clearing everything at once.
Right-click now works as an eraser for faster note management.
Suspect placement hold duration can now be adjusted, so you can choose how quickly holding a suspect places them on the board.
The timer can now be turned off from the Options menu.
Case evaluation is now faster.
The Skip Tutorial button and case-review status indicator are easier to notice and access.
Customization and visual-assistance settings are easier to find thanks to a reorganized Options menu.
Pressing ESC while playing opens the Options menu.
Room terminology has been standardized: they are now referred to as zones throughout the game.
English is now the default language
Default sound volume is now lower when opening the game for the first time.
Some suspect names have been updated.
Menu toggle alignment issues have been fixed.
Text padding and alignment inside suspect Polaroids have been corrected. [Bugs & Improvements] We also fixed a bunch of bugs, improved the save system, and made overall performance improvements.
Note: Fortunately, we haven't received any negative feedback regarding issues like these, but we're continuing to improve them anyway to provide a better experience and overall product quality.
This is only our first major update, and we’re still reading everything you send us. We’re a team of two, so seeing how many of these improvements came directly from the community means a lot to us. Thank you for helping us make Sudokiller better!
