Halley's Big Catch has a release date. It arrives on Windows on October 14, 2026, and the launch trailer is on the store page now — play Cinematic Trailer at the top of this page.

What's in the trailer

Six of the game's 15+ fishing locations, in the order you'd reach them:

  • Hidden Pond — Halley's home water. The log cabin, the long plank dock, lily pads and mirror-flat blue.
  • Sandy Shoals — a King Mackerel skipping clear of the water off The Shooting Star.
  • Bluewater Run — open-ocean trolling, with a pod of dolphins running the swell.
  • Amazon Depths — a payara clearing the surface in front of the jungle bank.
  • Desert Lagoon — a palm-fringed southwest reservoir, still canyon water.
  • Frostbite Sound — an Arctic Char breaching through the pack ice.

About the game

A cartoon cat who loves to fish.

Every species fights differently. Runs, dives, head-shakes and aerials come out of the fish you actually hooked rather than a bigger health bar, so reading the fight and matching your rod, reel, line and bait to it is the whole game.

You start on a quiet pond behind a cabin and work your way out to deep blue water, unlocking new shores and tackle as you go — and following a trail of relics that ties them all together.

  • 15+ locations, from a mirror-flat home pond to open ocean
  • Species-specific fight behaviour — no inflated HP bars
  • Rods, reels, lines and baits that genuinely change how a fight goes
  • A catalog of fish to find, land and fill in
  • A story that unfolds while you fish, not in a quest log

Wishlist before launch

Hit the Wishlist button at the top of this page and Steam will email you the day it goes live. Wishlists are also the single biggest thing that decides whether a small game gets shown to anyone on launch day, so it genuinely helps.

A free demo is on the way — follow the page and you'll hear about it here first.

See you on the water.
