Think you’ve mastered the art of controlling two skates at once?
Think again.
Skate Mates now has horses, and they completely change how you play.
Mount a horse and your skates become responsible for controlling it. Instead of simply skating through the course, you’ll need to work together with your teammate to steer the horse, avoid obstacles, and make it to the finish.
When you’re riding a horse, each skate controls a different direction.
Buck with the left skate → Horse turns left.
Buck with the right skate → Horse turns right.
Every turn becomes a little conversation between two players — and when you get it right, you’ll feel like an incredibly coordinated team.
When you don't...
Well, that's when things get interesting.
Normally, you and your friend are already trying to coordinate two skates attached to the same person.
Now throw a horse into the mix.
You need to communicate which direction to turn, when to turn, and how much correction you need.
A tight corner might require rapid left-right inputs. A long bend might require one player to repeatedly buck their side.
The course hasn't necessarily become harder.
You just have a completely different way of playing it.
The horse doesn't magically make you good at the game.
You can still:
Miss a turn
Overcorrect
Crash into obstacles
Send your friend flying
Completely lose control of the horse
Blame each other for what was obviously your fault
That's part of the fun.
The horse turns familiar courses into a completely different challenge, giving you another reason to replay them with a friend.
