You pick up your resources with the winch, including fuel, armor and ammo as well as special equipment and power-ups. Some are directly visible while others are hidden (see below).
For your convenience and on lower difficulty settings specific landing zones grant supplies and automatic refill of these.
Disrupt enemy supply lines though jacking fuel right off the bed!
Video game logic: blow up a gas station to get fuel. Conveniently this station also provides kerosene.
Additionally the winch has an air lift mode for retrieving special objects like awesome prototype blades from ancient times.

With the the rope ladder you can rescue allies and capture hostiles to gather valuable intel an the battlefield. First hand information directly from the front line provide high valuable mission-specific intel.
"It's not the aircraft, it's the pilot!" - Actually it's also about the aircraft in this mission.
Hostiles are not quite eager to board your helicopter, so you have to chase them down.
Tries to outrun an attack helicopter with a catcher on the rope's end.
So working with both of these tools is very important to complete your missions and objectives.
Choose your time of resource pickups wisely, scout out hidden stashes and tag those sneaky runners!
